Steve Jobs thought of the name Apple because he was coming back from an apple farm and was on a fruitarian diet. Apple's first logo depicts Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree, but was quickly replaced by the bitten rainbow apple, which is a rainbow-colored silhouette of an apple with a bite taken out of it. After the iMac G3 was introduced, Apple officially dropped the rainbow scheme and began to use monochromatic themes in a very similar shape to its previous rainbow incarnation.
